More than £1m in Universal Credit Uplift Identified Through British Gas Energy Trust Partnership with Turn2us 

The British Gas Energy Trust has identified more than £1 million in Universal Credit uplift for households using its website since partnering with Turn2us to make benefits and grants easier to access.

The new partnership, launched in June this year, has seen Turn2us’s trusted Grants Search and Benefits Calculator integrated directly into the Trust’s website, helping people experiencing financial pressure to identify benefits and grants they may be entitled to. 

Since the tools went live, households have completed more than 4,600 grant searches and benefit calculations. The Benefits Calculator has identified an estimated £1.91 million in potential annual benefit entitlement, including more than £1 million in Universal Credit uplift. Uplift is an additional amount of benefits that users are not currently receiving but may be eligible to claim.
