British Gas Energy Trust Supports Over 72,000 People in 2024/25
The British Gas Energy Trust (the Trust) has published its Impact Report 2025, revealing that the charity supported more than 72,000 people and distributed over £14.3 million in grants to help households and organisations across Britain tackle energy debt, receive guidance, and restore financial stability.
Funded solely by British Gas, the independent charitable trust has now invested over £230 million since its launch in 2004, positively impacting more than 830,000 people by improving their energy and financial wellbeing.
“Against a backdrop of high living costs and continued pressure on household budgets, the Trust has remained steadfast in its mission to reduce the impact of fuel poverty,” said Arvinda Gohil OBE, Chair of the British Gas Energy Trust. “Every grant awarded, every piece of advice delivered, and every barrier reduced represents a household given the chance to feel more secure, more resilient, and more hopeful about the future.”
