Centrica: Supporting customers with British Gas Energy Trust
Listen to Chris O’Shea, Centrica’s Chief Executive talking about the importance of supporting customers and households facing fuel poverty, and the additional £2m of funding awarded to the trust to help families during the energy and cost of living crisis.
British Gas Energy Trust ‘s Chief Executive Jessica Taplin, speaks from the Bromley By Bow Centre, where we’ve funded money and energy advice services for over a decade.
1 in 4 households are facing financial hardship and poverty. At British Gas Energy Trust our mission is to help alleviate the detrimental impact of poverty. We do this by supporting frontline charities who provide money and energy advice, and also through direct energy grants and emergency fuel vouchers to households in or facing fuel poverty.
We are only able to do this with the longstanding support of Centrica British Gas. Recently they provided an additional £2m of support to British Gas Energy Trust’s Winter Fund grant fund, enabling us to support thousands more households struggling with energy costs and the rising cost of living.
With thanks to Chris O’Shea and the team at Centrica British Gas for all their support and commitment to the cause.
