Community Law Service – Financial Health & Wellbeing Project

Project Information
The Financial Health and Wellbeing Service works with health services and health related voluntary agencies across Northamptonshire with a key focus on the Boroughs of Northampton, Wellingborough and East Northamptonshire where Community Law Service advice centres are based.
Our specialist advice team delivers a holistic Fuel Poverty advice service for people on low incomes who are experiencing physical or mental health problems or who are disabled and are at risk of becoming unwell due to cold homes and/or have financial problems which are likely to lead to difficulties in affording energy bills.
We can provide your household with comprehensive advice, casework and support which includes an end to end service to ensure the best outcome for you. Our advisors can help you with:
- Welfare benefits advice and income maximisation
- Debt and budgeting advice
- Energy efficiency advice
- Energy tariff checking
- Home Energy Assessments
- Accessing small energy efficiency measures
Our team can provide you with help and information to access Warm Home Discount schemes, the Priority Services Register and to other relevant grants.
There are many ways to access to our project services. The primary availability is via health related agencies, services are delivered at selected GP surgeries, local hospitals, and mental health services premises. We can also provide you with assistance via our website, our advice centres, home visits and through telephone advice and email.
