Bromley by Bow Centre – Energy Boost

Project Information

The Energy Boost project is designed to provide sustainable solutions to fuel poverty.

The project will provide advice and immediate support to assist people in overcoming acute difficulties with their energy bills, longer-term resilience to withstand continuing pressures in meeting energy costs, and extensive one-to-one support for those people with more complex needs.

The project will support households to reduce their energy costs through a combination of:

• Improved understanding of how to use appliances and heating systems more efficiently
• Accessing the most affordable and appropriate energy tariffs for each household’s needs
• Seeking out appropriate discounts available to customers

Based at the Bromley by Bow Centre in Tower Hamlets and covering the East London area, the project takes a holistic approach to people’s financial situations.

Advice delivered is free, one-to-one, independent, confidential and practical. It is delivered at the Centre and in non-traditional settings such as health centres, neighbourhood hubs, housing offices. Support is also provided by phone, email and messenger apps.
