Citizens Advice Staffordshire North and Stoke on Trent- PMW: BGET Energy

Project Information

Citizens Advice Staffordshire North and Stoke on Trent will be providing vulnerable people with access to effective energy advice to ensure they can manage their energy supply as effectively and economically as possible. This will include multiple interventions and case work or one-off advice and information depending on the needs of the client. The project will aim to help the community through maximising income and minimising expenditure through benefit checks, grant applications, and other practical measures, specialist energy support with issues such as billing, disputes, meters, complaints and Ofgem complaints and through on-going in-depth casework.
They will provide specialist debt advice including stabilising priority debts and payment, and all debt solutions including DRO/Bankruptcy.
Support is provided through weekly community events, one-to-one sessions for in-depth matters, telephone and face-to-face appointments at a variety of locations to suit clients needs – home visits, offices, partner offices, and local community centres including food banks.
