Project Information

North Yorkshire Citizens Advice & Law Centre (CANY) provides free, confidential and impartial advice, and campaign on big issues affecting people’s lives.

The project will deliver one-to-one specialist money and energy advice to residents in Scarborough and the surrounding areas, addressing fuel poverty, low income and debt holistically through benefits advice, income maximisation, debt relief and money management skills.

The project aims to resolve client issues before they reach crisis point.

A triage service ensures that clients in greatest need are prioritised. Clients will also gain access to other CANY services, including legal advice through the Law Centre.
