Citizens Advice in Sunderland, Hartlepool and Middlesbrough
Covering the North East: Sunderland, Hartlepool and Middlesbrough.
Citizens Advice in Sunderland, Hartlepool and Middlesbrough, are working together in partnership across the North East of England to support people who have been impacted by Covid19 and who are struggling financially..
The support is aimed at those who were just about managing before the lockdown, but who are now finding themselves falling into debt because they are unable to meet their ongoing financial commitments. This initiative will provide holistic advice and support on a wide range of issues. Specialist advisers will help people in financial hardship to address their financial and energy commitments through providing initial checks for any benefits people may be entitled to; help complete benefit forms and support with online application for Universal Credit.
Furthermore, beneficiaries will be provided with suitable options for dealing with personal debts; maximising income; developing realistic and sustainable financial statements; comparing energy providers for cheaper tariffs and provided with guidance towards other forms of help available such as the Warm Home Discount Scheme.
