If you think you might have difficulty completing an application form, the Trust funds Local Advisers within a number of agencies based in England, Scotland and Wales. The Advisers can help you with fuel debt advice, budgeting / money advice and may be able to help you submit an application to the Trust. There is a link on the right of this page which provides a list of local advisers.
Alternatively there are many local advice centres, e.g. Citizens Advice, that may be able to help.
The Trust automatically acknowledges receipt of all applications. If we require further information to assess your application we will request this and you are given 30 days to provide the required information. If you do not reply within the 30 days, your application will be closed as we assume you no longer want to apply. If you have difficulty obtaining the information needed to send to the Trust (for example if you are waiting for information from the DWP) you should inform the Trust before the four weeks is up. The Trust can then give you more time to send in what is needed.
